They’re new on the scene, they have a debut single out by the name of Ordinary Madness and they’re called Fellowfish.

That’s it in a nutshell, really, except that the frontman of this ‘new’ band is none other than Keith Anthony, the male half of popular Gozitan band Chasing Pandora.

While that band is working in the background on what to do and where to go next, Anthony has also been keeping busy with his own side-project, a trio also featuring Christophe Ladret on percussions and Kristian Vella on guitars.

“The single is actually the title track of our upcoming album,” Keith Anthony said in a comment, adding that the album, which will be released very soon, is “a subtle and sublime mix of social observation and light-hearted melody, promising to evoke new ideas and feelings beyond the ordinary”.

Asked about the new band’s music, Anthony described it as “eclectic, with influences from contemporary artists such as Iron and Wine, Fink and Ben Harper”.

Fellowfish will be performing at Teatru Unplugged on December 2, 3 and 4, but before that you can catch them giving a live unplugged performance on Radio 101’s Rockna radio show this Friday at 7.15 p.m.
