I am writing this letter to express my disappointment at the fact that I was charged €5 for every foreign money purchase I made by credit card last month from two branches of a financial and investment services company. At no point was I informed of these charges when purchasing the money.

Upon contacting a customer care representative of the company, I was told that the information given at the bottom of the confirmation email sent upon ordering the money online – stating that one “may incur charges” – was sufficient. The customer care representative did say, however, that all staff members are meant to inform customers paying by credit card about this fee. However, I was not told about this charge.
