Due to the success of the Fassbinder Night during the third German Film Festival last November, the German-Maltese Circle has decided to continue screening films directed by Rainer Werner Fassbinder (1945 – 1982) – one of the most critically acclaimed and controversial directors in post-war Germany.
These films promise to be thought-provoking entertainment starring some of the best German actors and actresses of the time.
All films will be screened in German with English subtitles. Entrance is free.
The mini series begins on Friday with a screening of Fontane Effi Briest at Messina Palace, St Christopher Street, Valletta, at 6.30 p.m.
