The hunters’ federation has appointed its secretary, Lino Farrugia, as CEO but he will not be replaced in his old role.
Mr Farrugia is the first to fill the new post, which forms part of the organisation’s internal restructuring.
A spokesman for the federation yesterday told Times of Malta that its 10,000 members could only benefit. The hope, he said, was that in both roles Mr Farrugia would help safeguard the legal practice of hunting and trapping within the parameters of European legislation.
