In his attack on employers in The Times (February 28), David Pisani urges unions to “jointly work towards the revision of the Conditions of Employment Regulations Act (CERA) so as to protect workers from this new type of precarious employment”.

It is ironic that as a spokesman for an organisation called Żminijietna (meaning our time), Mr Pisani needs to adjust his calendar. The CERA expired a decade ago and, since then, has been superseded by the Employment and Industrial Relations Act, 2002.
