Detailed cross-sections of a pig and a cockerel, as well as an anatomically correct human body complete with removable organs, were among the detailed and intricate items on display during this year’s Mcast Expo.
Organised every year to showcase the students’ work, the Malta College of Arts, Science and Technology Expo highlighted the projects created by students throughout the year.
A quad-copter aircraft, made up of four chopper engines, which can be flown with a remote control, a balancing robot which follows a set path, and a detailed cross-section of a microscopic eukaryotic cell were among the items on display.
The expo, which ran for five days last week, also gave the chance to prospective students – both young and old – and families to get a taste of the Mcast experience.
Held at the new campus in Paola, it also brought together students, lecturers, career advisers and staff under one roof to offer guidance, help and information about the college and the courses on offer. For more information visit www.mcast.edu.mt.
