A new exhibition of wooden artefacts can be visited at Il-Ħaġar  museum in Victoria.

The St George-themed collection includes hand-carved statues from Bavaria and lower Austria, ranging from the early 19th century to recent years.

One of the statues (see photo) comes from the prominent Zwink workshop in Oberammergau. Other items include a Balkan hand-painted flask icon set.

The exhibition runs until the end of September. The museum in St George’s Square, Victoria, is open daily from 9am to 5pm seven days a week. Admission is free.
