Artist Brian Grima is back at the forefront of Malta’s art scene with his follow-up solo exhibition titled Thesaurus Melitense II, following his well-received Thesaurus Melitense exhibition in 2007.

Mr Grima is on a constant search to discover new treasures that inspire his paintings and he will be showcasing a series of fascinating artworks entirely dedicated to items, places or people he admires the most.

Artists such as Maria Callas, Marilyn Monroe, Sofia Loren, Salvador Dalì, Tamara de Lempicka, Joaquín Sorolla y Bastida and Pablo Picasso all feature prominently in his works, together with a number of Egyptian artifacts and antique Maltese furniture, silver and architecture.

His work will be exhibited at Casino Maltese, Republic Street, Valletta.

The exhibition opens today and runs to March 2. See www. briangrima.com for details.
