The Mediterranean Sea countries have in common stories and traditions when it comes to civil and religious feasts. The most important period of the year for Catholics, the Holy Week, reaching its culmination in Easter Sunday, is a clear example of how these traditions intermingled. The Maltese archipelago, southern Italy and Sicily, and Spain, have absorbed and exchanged many influences.

Ken Scicluna, with his striking ability to capture the world through his lens, highlights this cultural heritage and focuses on Easter traditions.

Born in 1981, the talented photographer travelled around the world to pursue his passion.

The exhibition runs at the Italian Cultural Institute in Valletta until April 5. It may be visited during opening hours of the Institute.
