Fair is fair. Praise where it is due. After hearing so much criticism about Arriva and its employees, I must say a big thank you to a driver for his kindness when I thought I had lost my signet ring on his bus (from Buġibba to Valletta) on May 15 at about 10 a.m.

He was very helpful indeed and did his very best to find it and also gave me all the details about reporting the loss.

That same evening, I had the good fortune to be on route 12 from Valletta to Buġibba when an irate passenger boarded the bus. He was swearing at the driver all the way, blaming him for his long wait as two previous buses had ignored him.

The driver was very polite indeed and when the passenger was getting off the bus and continued with his tirade the driver very courteously ignored the swearing, said goodbye and continued with his journey.
