A former policeman who is now a Paceville bouncer was yesterday charged with damaging his wife’s car in a domestic argument in the early hours of Thursday morning.

The 39-year-old from Msida denied threatening his wife, damaging her car and breaching the peace.

The accused, who has already been found guilty of drug related charges, was released on bail against a personal guarantee of €2,000 and a deposit of €500.

Police Inspector Nikolai Sant prosecuted.

Lawyer Franco Debono appeared parte civile. Lawyer Simon Micallef Stafrace was defence counsel.

The name of the accused is not being published to protect the woman’s identity.
