Evergreen Lines has scored high in a survey among Asian shippers by topping the overall performance and consultation on schedule change categories.

According to the survey’s respondents, customer service and reasonable rates are two of the most important factors to evaluate the service rendered by a shipping line.

Shippers want more flexibility, information and customer care, which customers have deemed Evergreen to consistently deliver.

Evergreen is continuing to focus on environment-friendly initiatives and has commissioned the construction of 10 L-class environmentally advanced ships, the first of which is scheduled to be delivered by China Shipbuilding Corp this year.

Evergreen already operates 20 L-class ships built by Samsung Heavy Industries Co.

Equipped with fuel-saving features, the ships are designed to reduce carbon emissions. They employ tin-free coatings as well as environment-friendly materials to prevent marine pollution and thus meet the requirements for obtaining the Green Passport of ship recycling.

Evergreen Corporation is the fourth largest container carrier in the world with a fleet of more than 150 ships calling on 240 ports worldwide in about 80 countries.
