The Theology Students’ Association is organising its annual academic evening in honour of St Thomas Aquinas at the Grand Ballroom, Hotel Phoenicia, Floriana, on Wednesday at 7 p.m.

A lecture entitled ‘Searching for Happiness’ will be delivered by Prof. Sigrid Muller, vice-dean and lecturer of moral theology at the University of Vienna’s Faculty of Catholic Theology.

A reception will follow the lecture.

Prof. Muller’s special research interests are the history of moral theology and bioethics with a focus on the ethics of technology.

In 2008, she was appointed a Junior Member of the Austrian Academy of Sciences and a member of the Curatorial Board of the Austrian Science Fund FWF.

She will also be delivering a lecture entitled ‘Creating New Forms of Life: Ethical Challenges of applying Synthetic Biology in a Medical Context’ at the University’s New Anatomy Lecture Room, Biomedical Building, on Thursday at 10 a.m., and one entitled ‘Between Spirituality and Morality: the Role of Charity in Late Medieval Moral Theology’ at Gateway Building Hall E on Friday at 10 a.m.
