Freek Lapre, the president of the European Association of Homes and Services for the Ageing, was in Malta earlier this month ahead of an international conference to be held in September.
EAHSA is to hold its fourth conference in Malta themed ‘Active Aging – A Challenge for Providers’ with the participation of European speakers dealing with best practice and innovation in housing, care and services.
Care Malta chief executive Natalie Briffa Farrugia and her team showed Mr Lepre round the island, the conference venue, the facilities run by Care Malta, the central processing unit entrusted with catering.
While in Malta, Mr Lapre met Joseph Troisi, director of the International Institute of Ageing, United Nations-Malta, and of the University’s European Centre of Gerontology, who will be addressing September’s conference.
