Europe Day was celebrated at St Francis square in Victoria on April 30 with a varied programme that saw the participation of students attending the school of music and drama.

The students gave a spectacle of theatre, dance and music with a Hungarian theme since Hungary currently holds the EU presidency.

Pupils attending the Wistin Camilleri school of art and crafts in Għajnsielem also took part in an art session.

Paintings with a Europe Day theme drawn earlier by the same children were also exhibited. The programme also included folk dancing by the Astra and Aurora folk groups, and dancing by the Central Academy of Dance.

The Victoria Scouts Group gave various demonstrations.
