Environment and heritage group Din l-Art Ħelwa has reiterated its call to the planning authority to extend the deadline of the consultation time frames.

It said it was “highly concerned” the Government was formulating the objectives of key planning policies without giving environmental NGOs and the public adequate opportunity to take part.

These objectives would affect existing rules on construction outside the development zone and building heights and it “is unacceptable” that the Government chose to conduct such an important process in a way that “seems” to prioritise industry stakeholders.
