I watch very little television, but I do make it a point to follow the local and foreign news. I also learn a lot about the situation abroad from the hundreds of Maltese emigrants who spend their summer holidays on the island.

I also have friends and relatives living in the US, Canada, the UK, Australia and even in New Zealand with whom I am in regular contact.

Sometimes I enter in conversation with some of the thousands of tourists who visit Mosta every day. They are envious of our standard of living, envious of our friendliness, envious of the safety of our children, envious of our teenagers who can roam the streets safely even at night. Yes, there is no place like Malta as long as Labour is kept on the opposition benches!
