Could the Prime Minister please stop embarrassing us all by his undignified and petulant excuses for the inexcusable?

The obscene ‘waiver’ granted to one solitary individual not to abide by the extant ministerial code of ethics could not possibly have escaped the attention of a dutifully alert Opposition, conscious of its duty to criticise constructively.

Malta should be thankful that this scandalous and discriminatory ‘privilege’ has now been retracted before more harm could be done to the dignity of our Parliament. That is a great improvement on a previous Labour Prime Minister who, in a somewhat similar circumstance, boasted that he did not care a fig (loose euphemistic translation) about the Constitution itself, let alone a code of ethics.
