The warden system was enacted and is now in full swing. But is it really a success in dealing with traffic contra- ventions? The answer is, only to some extent.
There are many other contraventions, apart from parking offences, which need to be addressed. One of these is the use of indicators. In my experience the majority of drivers never use indicators when turning.
Therefore I wish to advise the authorities who run the warden system to schedule, say once a week, wardens at strategic corner points to dish out tickets to drivers who do not use their indicators. I am positive their coffers would immediately fill to the brim until such time that drivers learn to use their indicator lights. Education in the media would also help.
