When I think about weddings I remember my wedding 13 years ago.

Love one another and you will be happy. It’s as simple and as difficult as that- Michael Leunig

I remember how the day had passed so quickly amid the trials and tribulations of organising a wedding and the mad rush and frequent bouts of fear, panic and frustration that something could go wrong.

If I had to relive the experience, I would certainly not panic, not worry about those little, unimportant details and live the day to the full, concentrating on what matters most and enjoying myself.

But 13 years down the line, I think I am a tad smarter and a more mature person who has learnt quite a few things from life. So nothing would be the same if ever the day had to be relived.

Up until a week ago, it was hard to imagine a wedding being organised, with the grey skies and incessant rain we had.

But now that the sun shines once again and we can enjoy the clear blue skies, it is definitely easier and more enjoyable for people to plan the most important day oftheir lives with more enthusiasm, zest and energy.

There is no need to start planning a long time before the date. Just make sure you know exactly what you want and be flexible to avoid any stress.

You need to be a carefree and relaxed bride on this special day – the happiest person on earth.
