Ħamrun Spartans vs Qormi (today at 6pm, Hibs Stadium).

Lifted by their come-from-behind victory over Rabat Ajax in their last outing, Ħamrun Spartans will be looking to keep up the momentum when they face neighbours Qormi.

Last week, Ħamrun averted the threat of a two-point deduction for outstanding payments.

Coach Stefan Sultana is boosted by the return of captain Roderick Fenech, who was suspended for the Rabat game, but Spanish midfielder Cesar Catalan is out with a pulled muscle.

Jonathan Bondin returns for Qormi after missing the 2-0 win over Melita due to suspension.

Defenders Kris Thackray and Stephen Wellman were to undergo a late fitness test as they are struggling with niggling injuries.

Previous results: Qormi vs Ħamrun Spartans 0-1, 4-0.

Floriana vs Rabat Ajax (today at 6pm, Tedesco Stadium).

Rabat will be looking to atone for their loss to Ħamrun with a strong showing against Floriana.

Silvio Vella, the Rabat coach, welcomes back Dylan Falzon from injury but Yan Cauchi is still out with a knee problem.

Floriana, who also avoided a two-point penalty over financial matters, will be in no mood to throw away any points as they still have work to do to ease their relegation worries.

Coach Iain Brunskill is buoyed by the return from suspension of Owen Bugeja but Sacha Borg is doubtful with a hamstring injury.

Previous results: Rabat vs Floriana 0-3, 1-1.

Balzan vs Melita (today at 8.15pm, Tedesco Stadium).

Balzan have their eyes set on bagging all points from their clash with bottom-placed Melita as they seek to secure their top-flight status as early as possible.

Ivan Zammit’s men go into the match nine points clear over second-bottom Rabat and a win today would further boost their chances of finishing top of the Relegation Pool.

Defender Jonathan Francica has recovered from an ankle injury.

Melita must start to pick up the points to avoid losing further ground in the relegation race.

Coach Patxi Salinas is boosted by the return of Andrew Caruana Scicluna and Matthew Borg who missed the Qormi defeat due to suspension.

Other results: Balzan vs Melita 2-1, 4-0.

Birkirkara vs Mosta (tomorrow at 6pm, National Stadium).

Title hopefuls Birkirkara are widely tipped to make it two wins in a row when they face a Mosta side who have yet to collect a point in the Championship Pool.

Nigerian striker Shola Haruna Shodiya is available for the Stripes after missing the 1-0 win over Hibs due to suspension.

Mosta coach Danilo Doncic has a tough task to field a competitive team as defender Ferdinando Apap must serve a one-match ban while Danail Mitev (arm), Carlos Cam-pagnoli (ankle), Steve Chiemeka (knee) and Bruno Mbonu (foot) are rated as doubtful.

Previous results: Mosta vs Birkirkara 0-1, 1-7.

Hibernians vs Sliema Wanderers (tomorrow at 8pm, National Stadium).

After their low-key showing against Birkirkara, Hibernians will be looking to put their title challenge back on track when they face the in-form Sliema Wanderers.

Hibs coach Michael Woods will certainly expect a strong response from his players to keep up the pressure on the Citizens who will go four points clear at the top if they beat Tarxien today.

Brazilian striker Luis Edison ‘Tarabai’ is set to make the Hibs squad for the first time this season after recovering from knee surgery but fellow January signing Obinna Obiefule is out as his shoulder injury has not healed completely.

Defender Ryan Camilleri misses out with a one-match ban.

Sliema, on their part, will be keen to maintain their unbeaten start to the Championship Pool as they look to boost their quest for a European place.

Alfonso Greco, the Sliema mentor, has a full squad to choose from with the exception of goalkeeper Henry Bonello who is recovering from surgery.

Previous results: Sliema vs Hibs 4-0, 1-2.
