A group of 16-year-old sixth form students recently took part in the English-Speaking Union Malta’s Debating Academy, during which they engaged in a series of debates to practise public speaking based on well-researched, objective positions on various serious topics. This was a unique opportunity for the students to develop skills that will prove useful throughout their professional and personal lives.
ESU Malta runs programmes in schools and provides English education through conversation and public speaking courses. Bank of Valletta supports the initiative and nominates a judge to take part in the academy.
