It most certainly isn’t the only thing Maltese artist Marc Storace has done in his long-standing musical career, but his tenure as frontman and vocalist with Swiss rock band Krokus – three decades in and still counting – is by far the most successful of them all.

With a fantastic repertoire behind them, including at least three essential hard rock albums that propelled them to global rock superstardom in the 1980s – the band’s creative juices show no signs of abating. And in case their 2010 platinum-selling Hoodoo album isn’t proof enough, the diehard rockers have just served up a brand new, rock ’n’ roll juggernaut of an album by the name of Dirty Dynamite.

Recorded at the legendary Abbey Road studios and produced by bassist and founding member Chris Van Rohr, the new album – the band’s 17th to date – has been very positively received, particularly more so by the German music press.

A recent press release by the band featured comments from several top rock publications and websites, among them Rock Hard, Metal.de, The Pit, Slam, Dance of Death, Hardrock Heaven and Mega-Metal.de, whose ratings of the album ranged between 8/10 and 9.5/10.

Further to the top rank ratings, some of the comments referred to Dirty Dynamite as a mix of “blues, rock ’n’ roll and heavy metal”; an album where “almost every song has the makings of a hit”. Heavy Metal magazine’s was the most emphatic comment, with “there are no weak songs on this record”.
