The Manoel Theatre is presenting Malta’s foremost percussionist Renzo Spiteri and Scandinavian saxophone player Thomas Agergaard in an evening of melodious and atmospheric soundscapes tomorrow.

Both professionals are creative artists bonded by the desire to express themselves with music that’s warm and hypnotic at times, haunting and fiery at others. All this will happen on stage, in the instance through improvised exchanges and in the most captivating of manners.

Agergaard plays tenor and soprano saxophones in an outstanding manner, but also makes headlines as a composer and arranger involved in a number of innov-ative projects.

He is renowned for the fine ‘spaciness’ and sculptural feeling of his compositions that invariably incorporate a number of musical styles.

Described by reviews as “an artiste who constantly surprises”, Spiteri’s artistic versat-ility and passion for the creative use of sound have over the years allowed him to develop fresh musical possibilities and unlimited modes of expression.

• Improvisations is being held tomorrow at 8pm. Tickets may be obtained by phone on 2124 6389, by e-mail bookings@teatrumanoel.com.mt or online at www.teatrumanoel.com.mt.
