Castille employees have contributed generously to feed hungry families temporarily facing a crisis in Malta.

After reading the article about the Valletta foodbank risking closure, as its supplies were drying out, Castillians decided to help out and started collecting food for this good cause.

“Within two days we had over six large boxes of food brought in by colleagues,” said Clive Camilleri, an employee at Castille who was in contact with Rev. Kim Hurst. “Rev. Hurst visited our offices to collect the food and her first reaction was priceless. She was extremely thankful and encouraged us all to share the word.”

Rev. Hurst has been operating the food bank located at 210, Old Bakery Street, Valletta since 2014. She has had extensive experience working in UK food banks and decided to open a facility in Malta after discovering that there wasn’t one.

Those wishing to donate can get in touch with Rev. Hurst by calling 2141 5465 or e-mailing kim.hurst@methodist.org.uk. More information is available on www.thefoodbank.webs.com and www.standrewsmalta.com.
