As temperatures are expected to soar during the coming days, drinking water regularly will help you keep cool.

The Health Division yesterday stressed the importance of keeping well hydrated.

Dehydration could lead to heat exhaustion or heatstroke.

Some people run a greater risk of serious harm including older people, babies and young children, people with chronic conditions and physically active people.

It is therefore important to avoid unnecessary exposure to the sun between 11am and 4pm, the Health Division said.

Stay in the coolest parts of the home and office, drink regularly to make up for lost fluid and eat more cold food.
