The International Institute of Studies, which is part of Domain Group and Malta’s exclusive partner for the University of Hertfordshire, recently held its annual graduation ceremony in IT and computer science.
During the ceremony, held at Radisson Blu Golden Sands, 20 students graduated with a first degree in B.Sc. (Hons) IT, while five students were awarded aMaster’s degree in IT
This is the second year that Domain Group students are graduating with a first degree in B.Sc. However, the ceremony marked the first for postgraduate degrees, with all achieving a distinction in computer sciences.
Domain Group chairman Nick Callus congratulated thegraduates and said the institutewas proud of its students’accomplishments.
Miquela Galea, the graduates’ representative, delivered a speech thanking the tutors for their support and congratulated her fellow graduates, especially considering that most of them had read for their degree while juggling a full-time job and family responsibilities.
The degrees were conferred by University of Hertfordshire project manager Jill Hewitt.
The B.Sc. graduates were Adrian Cassar, Amanda Degiovanni, Anton Pisani, Christian Spiteri, Christopher Camilleri, Christopher Musu, Christopher Stephenson, Clayton Farrugia, Clinton Mercieca, Derrick-Joe Zahra, Jesmond Fenech, Joseph Abela, Jonathan Sant,, Margaret Vella, Mark Vella, Michael Gonzi, Miquela Galea, Nicholas Xerri, Rene Briffa and Stephen Joseph Caruana.
The M.Sc. graduates wereConrad Vassallo, James Decelis, Mark Anthony Farrugia, Ralph Attard and Ryan Attard.
Christopher Camilleri, Christopher Stephenson and Claude Carbonaro were awarded the Excellent Performance Award while the Best Performance Award went to Clayton Farrugia.
