The medical condition of Dom Mintoff was yesterday described as stable.

The former Prime Minister, who is 95, was admitted to the Gozo General Hospital suffering from pneumonia on Monday evening. He is receiving the necessary treatment, the Gozo General Hospital said. He was last in hospital in February when he suffered a deterioration of his level of consciousness and had previously been in and out of hospital for treatment of heart problems and suspected aspiration pneumonia.
