Rural Affairs Minister George Pullicino may not be aware that wardens are being sent to Ta’ Qali National Park. They have been instructed to fine dog owners who do not keep their animals on a leash. First it was beaches, now it’s the National Park.

May I ask the minister where in Malta are we supposed to properly exercise our dogs? Like all other citizens in Europe, we should be able to have a designated area where we can let our dogs run after a ball, befriend other dogs, and so on, or are we Europeans only when it suits us?

Walking a dog is not enough. I am totally in favour of having park wardens present to make sure that owners collect their dog’s needs. I urge the minister to intervene.
