Marie Louise Bason recently graduated Doctor in Educational Psychology from the University of Manchester. Her thesis was entitled The Planning and Implementation of Post-school Transitions for Young People with Special Educational Needs.

Her work focused on the real world of schools and the involvement of staff, pupils, parents and external services in transition preparation.

Dr Bason presented various research projects at national and international conferences and has also worked as a practitioner educational psychologist in the UK for the past nine years.

Her current role involves consultation and training within schools and educational settings, supporting pupils and parents working with and supervising other professionals within multi-agency frameworks and contributing to strategic developments within local authorities.

Dr Bason also lectures at the University of Manchester.
