As one who has spent all one’s working life in the local maritime industry, I was most interested to note that “the four gentlemen who have agreed to form part of the Commission of Administration of Malta’s Dockyards” and mentioned in “Half a Century Ago” (February 14) were all apparently British citizens, even if all four were leading authorities in their respective professions.

Surely, there must have been others forming part of this commission from other nationalities, including a number of Maltese, even if, at the time Malta had not yet been granted independence from Britain.

I have no doubt that it would be most interesting to your wide readership if the names of the other commission members, if any, are also identified.
