I am almost beginning to feel guilty that I cannot declare to one and all: “I am an atheist.”

That is the craze of the moment.

What surprises me most is the trouble taken by these atheists to inform us that they are, really, atheists and that we should be ashamed of ourselves that we are not. They look up books that can help us become atheists and give us long lists of “clever men” who were atheist themselves. As if we care whether one believes or not!

You are an atheist. So what? They give me the impression that they want to convince themselves they are atheists. Good luck!
