Dmax.tv has diversified its portfolio of investments by upping to 40 per cent its shareholding in the German firm Tedlog.de – a company based in Cologne which focuses on IT solutions for reverse logistics. Co-founded in 2013, the company is partly owned by Dmax.tv together with Tomlog.de, a consulting firm that specialises in waste management.

“Our IT team in Malta is delivering, and has over the past 10 years acquired outstanding, if not unique, levels of knowledge on reverse logistics on the island and the future looks very exciting for Tedlog.de in Germany,” said IT and finance expert Uwe Schoenfeld.

Tedlog.de clients, which include sector leaders like Mammut, Logex, Ecocycle, Noventiz and GfR, are mainly recycling companies, generic or specialised collectors and logistics firms. Such businesses operate under a strict German regime, which necessitates constant legal compliance, system audits, checks and balances.

The brainchild of entrepreneur and creative director Ray de Bono and Mr Schoenfeld, Dmax.tv was launched in 2006, serving a number of blue chip accounts such as Spuetz AG, AON, CTO.int and Microsoft, offering branding, social media and online business solutions.

Dealing with global corporations or NGOs reward our team with unique project management experience and out-of-the-box ideas

Half of the company’s turnover was (and remains to be) destined for the international market. “We have learned a great deal from dealing with global corporations or NGOs, particularly since these accounts reward our team with unique project management experience and out-of-the-box ideas,” said Mr de Bono, who serves as the company’s CEO.

Internationally, Dmax has been involved with initial public offerings and rebranding exercises, such as with German equity firm Spuetz AG. Among others, the firm was responsible for the brand identity development of global cybersecurity firm Cybro, the Investment Migration Council based in Geneva and multinational business advisory firm 3a Global. Dmax.tv also created the identity for Twister Group which happens to be the Dutch founders of Big Brother (series 1-10) and ‘Das Supertalent’ (Germany’s Got Talent).

Another project that has been in the hands of Dmax for quite some time is the identity creation and production of Ghana’s first business magazine – the Ghana Business & Finance Magazine, including its online portal. With contributors from all over the world, GB&F was initially published on a monthly basis in Malta for African Business Media Ltd. With Dmax’s support, it is now being laid out and printed in Accra. Dmax.tv is the brand advisor for the publication and Mr de Bono is an active member of the editorial board, having recently written a special report about Malta, featuring an interview with Prime Minister Joseph Muscat.

Ten years down the line, Dmax.tv has carved out its own niche market, focusing also on social media management solutions for the finance, professional and medical/scientific sectors, with clients including Malta’s leading banks and finance institutions, as well as multinational business advisory firms.
