The General Workers’ Union has registered an industrial dispute with security firm JF Security after workers were allegedly suddenly placed on reduced hours.

GWU claimed workers were getting paid for fewer hours and the rest of the hours had to be invoiced, turning employees into full-time self-employed workers with reduced hours.

In a press release, the union said this was unacceptable and asked the security company to regularise its position immediately. Full time workers, it said, should be given their full salary, including benefits.
