Many letters have been written about the very poor customer care service that Melita offers. However, has anyone considered the poor souls that have to front this incompetent company, which professes to render a good service to the Maltese islands?

A case in point is the HD football channel that showed a game with a Maltese commentator that was unintelligible for 50 per cent of the match because the crowd noise was louder than the commentry level. Ring up customer care and get told that they don’t contol the feed. Err, the Maltese commentry was not under their control?

Channels are being dropped and a big apology was given out for at least two weeks for two channels we are paying for. “They are under maintenance, sir”. You must be joking. Two weeks to maintain a receiver? The poor girl stated: “Well, sir, that’s what they told me to say”.

The list just goes on and on and, still, Melita plc ignore their client base and assume we are all ignorant or, worse, gullible for ever. Time up, Melita. Get down from your arrogant high horse or lose even more of your client base. Some may even start proceedings for breach of contract. Food for thought!
