Having read Alfred Brincat’s letter (The Sunday Times, October 14) I thought I should recall my experience on October 5 using the Arriva bus service from Sliema Ferries to San Ġwann and Naxxar on bus number 225.

The schedule shows that this bus turns up every 40 minutes. I was on the bus stop at 4.45pm. People were already waiting to board but gave up after a long wait and called a taxi.

I waited and waited for nearly two hours in the hope that the bus might arrive but I gave up at 7.30pm, boarded a bus to Msida and waited for a bus to San Ġwann.

I arrived home at 8pm. It took me more than three hours to go from Sliema to San Ġwann. I complained when I arrived home but the answer was that they had some problems with that route. How’s that for service? Never again will I board an Arriva bus.
