Before the local elections, Mosta council was frequently in the limelight, for all the wrong reasons.

Hopefully the new council will function properly and the phrase “residents first” will no longer be a cliché. The council now has fresh blood and I am positive they will do a much better job than those of the previous one.

I consider it also an imperative that a council that is there for the residents, rather than developers, will not remain silent on the obnoxious development at Wied il-Għasel.

AD will oppose destructive development

May I suggest to all the councillors, as well as the public to consult www.it-tarka.com created and updated regularly by Ħarsien Patrimonju Mosti which documents step by step the development in Wied il-Għasel and all irregularities in the process.

Unlike the previous Mosta council, Ħarsien Patrimonju Mosti is an organisation that really has the residents at heart. It will definitely be for the benefit of both councillors and residents to be in ongoing contact and consultation with this organisation.

While Alternattiva Demokratika – The Green Party promises to keep opposing the trend of destructive development, support from local councils is definitely vital.
