Since March 11, 2013, a total of 119 public officers have been transferred between departments of the civil service.

Answering a parliamentary question by Charlo’ Bonnici (PN), Prime Minister Joseph Muscat gave a breakdown of the number.

Ninety-three had been in the private secretariats of outgoing ministers or parliamentary secretaries and had been asked to work where they preferred.

One had been taken on in a minister’s private secretariat, five left the civil service, four had joined the Cabinet Office, while 16 others had been transferred according to the exigencies of the service.
