Euro Media Forum and Eden Cinemas are presenting an event tomorrow to coincide with the release of The Amazing Spider-Man 2.

‘The Amazing Spider-Man: How Stan Lee and Steve Ditko’s web crawler has inspired the geek pop culture and science forever’ will be held at Europe House in St Paul Street, Valletta, at 6pm.

The discussion will delve into, among others, what made Spider-Man’s comic books so appealing to teenagers in the 1960s and how many teenagers and adults can still identify with Spider-Man’s alter ego, Peter Parker.

The speakers will also look into how Parker spawned the geek pop culture and how his popularity has inspired science and technology.

There will be a Spider-Man quiz, in which participants can win a number of prizes.

Entrance is free, however limited seating is available. Bookings can be made on euromediaforum@gmail.com, by SMS to 9945 4066, or log in to www.facebook.com/Euro.Media.Forum.
