A spaceship-themed venue – Delta 4 – has opened at Bay Street in St George’s Bay.

The venue features Entrapment, an interactive laser labyrinth direct from the US, virtual reality video games, a supervised play area for two to eight-year-olds and a fibre optic-powered internet lounge.

The venue is split into four sections and guests can enter through different-sized space doors.

“The design, based on a spaceship theme, with a futuristic setting, is intended to make this a top destination,” according to project designer Keith Pillow of Daaa Haus.

“The structure blends with the surrounding area, with the same colours and Alucabond finish as the rest of the complex itself.”

Delta 4’s internet lounge booths are space capsules, providing a futuristic atmosphere. In January, Delta 4 will welcome on board the first ever XD 6D cinema theatre in Malta.

The laser labyrinth will offer contestants four skill levels for one or two players, who can race against time through a series of laser beams. There will be various leader boards to beat, including those available to monthly contestants, specific groups, parties or private companies.

The contestants’ progress can be followed from outside the laser labyrinth room on a high-definition TV set. The best scores can then be followed on www.laserlabyrinth.com.mt or on www.facebook.com/Laser-Labyrinth/.

Opening times are daily from 10am to 10pm. For more information, call 2138 0600 or visit Bay Street at www.facebook.com/baystreetmalta.
