I write with reference to the new Valletta monti stalls. I cannot describe these more than a Full Monty of our creativity.

Their design is so raw, lacking any imagination and an insult to the capital city. They are not worth the material they used to build these monstrosities!

Recently, I was in Lithuania and came across a street market and, as one can see from the photographs above, one can be very creative with even a simple market stall.

These stalls are flexible and when ready they fold down neatly and serve as a display board advertising the potential of the locality.

I truly hope that the proposed stalls are never commissioned on location as they are an insult to our intelligence and degrade our capital city.
