The conventional rule is that a traditional rock formation features (at least) a singer, bassist, guitarist and drummer. Some of the exceptions include a guitar, electric or otherwise, in their line-ups.
The local scene has seen its fair share of duos over the years, but few, if any at all, have opted for the relatively unusual set-up of just bass and drums. This, however, is exactly what upcoming local duo Krishna has done, embodying the elements of stoner rock and drone music in their rather unusual, yet curiously dynamic, sound.
Featuring young drummer Liam Formosa and bass guitarist Timothy Garrett (the latter also the name behind experimental act Curmudgeon) Krishna will be playing its debut live gig on February 15 at Coach & Horses in Msida.
Doors open at 9pm and entrance is €2. For more information, visit the band’s Facebook page.
