Air-rifle shooter Lawrence Darmanin made the final of the Eley/NSRA Class D target competition at the Bisley Shooting Camp in London last weekend.

Some 120 shooters, mostly from the United Kingdom, took part with Darmanin managing an eighth position in the qualifying rounds and earning an award from the organisers who handed special medals to the top 22 before the final.

The decisive shoot, held in bad weather conditions and consisting of 40 rounds at a distance of 50 metres, saw the participation of those ranking high in all classes.

Darmanin finished joint fourth with a score of 378/400 points but he was classified fifth on countback in the overall standings.

The Class D shoot was sponsored by Eley Ltd and hosted by the UK National Smallbore Rifle Association.
