A Danish film production called Malta – All Inclusive is currently being filmed in Malta by Danish film production company Happy Ending Films.

Written by Mette Heeno (one of the most sought-after female writers in Denmark) with Oscar winner Mie Andreasen as producer, Malta – All Inclusive promises to be an endearing, and at times comical, story about a mother and her two daughters who travel to Malta for her 60th birthday.

The film is directed by Hella Joof, renowned in Denmark as an actress and director. In this film, not only does Malta feature as Malta itself, instead of some other country as is very often the case, but the producers and the director have also decided to name it after the country.

Andreasen picked Malta after getting in touch with Pierre Ellul of Falkun Films.

“We landed in Malta mainly thanks to the Malta Film Commission, Falkun Films and the Malta Tourism Authority. Together with all the great locations, they made it possible for us to put everything together to shoot the film here,” Andreasen said.
