Something urgent needs to be done about the pedestrian crossing in front of the General Workers’ Union monument in Msida.

It a deadly hazard to pedestrians as cars speed up to get to the interjunction to Sliema or Swieqi. Shouldn’t Transport Malta think of something to make the crossing safer for pedestrians, like introducing pelican lights or a traffic calmer before the actual zebra crossing? Let’s be proactive before a fatal accident occurs!

A coat of paint is urgently needed as well.
