It is about time that the traffic lights at the Mosta end of Pantar Road, Attard, are sorted out. The crossing into Mosta Road, for which they were installed in the first place, has been blocked and the lights have been left flashing amber, day and night, for several months. This has made the pedestrian crossing at Techno Park very dangerous to use as drivers simply ignore the ineffective lights.

The opening of Pama shopping complex in this area has compounded the problem as it has brought more cars and more people trying to cross the road. The car park exit into Pantar Road is also dangerous for there are no road markings to direct traffic and the two bits of pavement jutting out into the main road are surely out of place. After almost three years of works on this road, a decision about what is going to happen here is definitely overdue.
