His work has graced national art galleries and sonically adorned art installations, film productions and theatrical projects.
He has performed at various music festivals, both locally but especially abroad, yet Maltese electronic artist Cygna’s music remains something of an undiscovered treasure within the local scene.
As far back as 1998, his unique compositions – the result of music interacting with science and evolutionary art – have blended ambient sounds with classical instruments from an organic perspective.
On Friday, Cygna will be performing his album Opus Ena live at the Museum of Fine Arts in Valletta, with an introduction by Michael Zammit.
The performance will offer an audiovisual experience with four projections extending 180 degrees wide, and wireless headphones to ensure all present are able to immerse themselves in the experience.
The launch is a free event but there is a limited capacity of 100 people. Those wishing to reserve their seats may e-mail info@cygnamusic.com. The Opus Ena album can be bought after the event.
