The third in the series of cultural tours, organised by the Malta Council for Culture and the Arts, is being held next Sunday and will feature the northern part of Malta. The Roman remains in Xemxija will be visited together with the beehives and prehistoric and Punic tombs.

Participants will tour the Wignacourt Tower where guides will give a detailed account of its history and use. Uniforms and weapons used during the time of the Knights will also be discussed.

These monthly tours are followed by many participants who want to increase their knowledge of Maltese heritage. Departure will be from near a leading hotel in Floriana at 8.45am.

Booking closes on Wednesday, or earlier, if the tour is fully booked. Tickets – €12 for adults and €10 for elderly and children – may be purchased from the MCCA offices at 230, Republic Street, Valletta, from Monday to Friday, between 8.30am and 3pm.
