Tom Cruise started a red carpet race in London yesterday morning as he crossed countries to promote his new film at a trio of premieres.

The actor joined co-star Emily Blunt at the BFI Imax in central London for the first of three world premieres of Edge of Tomorrow where they met fans and posed for pictures. The pair was joined by the film’s director Doug Liman before the curtain went up at the cinema at 9am. They then flew on to Paris and New York where the red carpet was rolled out again and the film had its second and third showings.

The science-fiction film stars Cruise and Blunt as soldiers fighting off an alien attack only to be killed, then forced to relive the battle over and over again until theyfinally come closer to defeating their enemies.
