It’s such a great pity that so many balconies in the modern town of Pembroke have wires and cables hanging just above people’s heads. They look dangerous and are so ghastly and unsightly.

Is it possible that our town planner never thought of burying these hideous cables under the road as is done in most countries abroad? As far as I know, the Valletta wires were seen to some years back, so why not carry on with other towns? Some roads in San Ġwann have wires crossing the roads from one house to another.
